AlphaCert General Manager - Growth & Strategy Scott Taylor shares insights from the recent AM Tech Day in Sydney.
Last week, AlphaCert attended the inaugural AM TECH DAY conference in Sydney. Traditionally hosted in Paris, AM TECH is one of Europe's largest asset management technology events and expanded to the Asia-Pacific region for the first time this year.
AlphaCert's CEO Phil Pietersen and General Manager - Growth & Strategy Scott Taylor attended the conference, connecting with regional industry leaders to discuss the ongoing evolution of technology as an enabler in driving efficiency and reducing risk.
The conference offered opportunities to connect with global vendors and asset management industry leaders. "It's exciting just to connect and see what's going on with regards to new technical advancements," said Scott.
AI continues to be the topic of numerous conversations along with regulatory reporting and data management.
"Embrace AI and learn as much as you can because it's really shaping the industry quickly," emphasised Scott.
Global expansion emerged as another major discussion point, particularly concerning Australia's superannuation industry, where super funds increasingly look to international markets to deliver value to their members.
" There's a lot of super funds that are looking to expand globally now and looking offshore to invest and deliver value to members," says Scott.
"We are really delighted to play a small part in helping our biggest customer, Australian super, in their global expansion through our database management platform."
